Background and Expertise

Dr. Dave McEvoy is professor and chair in App State’s Department of Economics. His research is focused on issues related to global environmental problems and international environmental agreements. McEvoy holds graduate degrees in environmental and resource economics from University College London and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and he is an affiliate faculty member of the Ostrom Workshop at Indiana University.

McEvoy joined the faculty at App State in 2007 and has previously served as the director of the Appalachian Experimental Economics Laboratory (AppEEL) and as associate dean for undergraduate programs in the Walker College of Business. He teaches courses in environmental economics and policy and established the United Nations Climate Negotiations program at App State, in which students participate as delegates at United Nations global climate conferences.
