Dr. Gavin Colquitt currently serves as the executive director at the App State Appalachian Institute for Health and Wellness, and as a professor in the Department of Recreation Management and Physical Education. His prior roles include executive director at Georgia Southern University's Center for Rehabilitation and Independent Living and various academic positions within the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology.
Colquitt has a rich background in health and physical education, with extensive experience in adapted physical activity and rehabilitation. He has contributed significantly to the field through research, publication of scholarly articles and development of educational programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of individuals with disabilities. His leadership extends to serving on numerous committees and contributing to community service projects that advocate for inclusive health and recreation opportunities.
