Dr. Neel Das is the MBA director and a professor in the Marketing and Supply Chain Management Department in the Walker College of Business. He joined App State in 2007 as an assistant professor in the Marketing Department. His teaching interests lie in the areas of consumer behavior, brand management and marketing strategy. He has taught MBA classes at several management institutions in India and continues as a visiting faculty teaching a summer MBA class at the University of Angers, France. As the MBA director, Das is responsible for promoting excellence in graduate business education at the program level, recruiting students in the program, managing the review of applicants to the program and various other tasks with the overall objective of being an effective steward for the program. 

Das’ research interest is broadly in the area of consumer decision-making, focusing specifically on consumer donation/charitable behavior. Currently, he is the co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Consumer Marketing, and he is also on the editorial review board at the European Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice. 

Das has an undergraduate business and commerce degree from St. Xavier's College, India, a master's degree in accounting and taxation from the University of Calcutta, India, a post-graduate diploma in business management in finance from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, and a Ph.D. in marketing from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
